Welcome to the site that you gives you all you need to know about the Ministry Intensive for 2010.

For two days in August we have a great opportunity to spend time with others in ministry considering how to be purposeful. Everything we do in ministry has purpose, and some time out to think and talk about our foundations and strategies for ministry may be a very great help to many who want to be intentional about their gospel ministry.

To help us, we are very pleased to have four great speakers: Richard Coekin joining us from the UK, Paul Harrington coming up from Adelaide, Kanishka Raffel coming across from Perth and Phillip Jensen on home turf from Sydney.

Our topic is TRAIL BLAZING – Ministry with Purpose.

Richard Coekin will be helping us think about Growing Christ's Church. He will give three addresses and join a panel for an open question time. Richard's work as the Senior Pastor of the Co-Mission Initiative has, under God, seen multiple church plants occur around South and South West London. His reflections and wisdom will be terrific as we consider our own strategies for our established gospel ministries as well as our endeavors in church planting.

Paul Harrington will be addressing the topic of Enabling Christ's Church in his two talks and he also will join the panel for question time. Born and bred in South Australia, Paul has overseen what is now the largest church in Adelaide, Holy Trinity since 1993. His staff team is large and the number of people involved in gospel ministry across the many centres of Holy Trinity are numerous. Paul is the person to talk to us about teamwork and tactics in gospel ministry.

Kanishka Raffel will be speaking about preaching. His topic is Preaching to Christ's Church and as most who attend the Ministry Intensive are Bible preachers or teachers his sessions will be of great value. His first address will be about Leading from the Pulpit and then he will model what he has taught in a ‘live', open-to-the-public lunchtime event. He too will appear on the question panel.

Phillip Jensen will be leading us in Bible Studies each day looking at what the Bible says about Ministry with Purpose.

This is the fifth year of the Intensive. If you are in full-time ministry or preparing for full-time ministry or really serious about full-time ministry, then do not miss this Intensive.

The Ministry Intensive aims to feed, sharpen, assist and enable people in ministry by presenting experienced speakers on topics that relate to contemporary ministry matters. This Intensive also provides a great opportunity for those in ministry to network and be encouraged by others in ministry.

In other words - the Ministry Intensive serves those in ministry who are constantly serving others.
